FAQs

  1. How can I become more involved in the ATV/UTV association?
    • The public is welcome to any of our monthly meetings. If you would like to join, please print a copy of our membership form and bring it with you to the monthly meeting, or just come to one of our monthly meetings and you can complete the form and pay your dues at that time.
  2. What laws do I have to follow when driving/riding an ATV?
    • Please take a look at our ATV/UTV Safety page. There are some helpful links on that page from the Wisconsin DNR available as well.
  3. Where can I find information on ATV/UTV safety courses?
    • Safety certification is obtained by completing a classroom course or an online course. Online courses are conducted by two vendors: atvcourse.com and offroad-ed.com. Prior to enrolling in a safety class you MUST obtain a DNR customer identification (account) number. If you purchased a Wisconsin hunting or fishing license in the past, you already have a customer account and can use that login information to login to the DNR website. If you have NOT purchased a Wisconsin hunting or fishing license in the past, you can create a customer ID on the Wisconsin DNR/Go Wild website or by calling 1-888-936-7463 or by visiting any Wisconsin DNR Service Center or DNR Go Wild sales locations.

  9. I have a question/complaint regarding ATV/UTV use, who do I contact?
  10. A tree fell down or another object is blocking a trail. What do I do, and/or who do I contact?
    • We kindly ask if at all possible, to remove the tree or object yourself. If the tree or object is too big, please reach out to a club member (if known), or contact one of our club Officers – Jack O’Neil (President) or Dave Diess (VP), or one of our Board of Director members – Sheldon Huppert, Mark Kinneman, or Gary Huppert. Contact information for all board members is listed on our Meet the Board page. You may also contact us at piercecountyatvutvassoc@gmail.com or visit our Pierce County ATV Association Facebook page and send us a message through messenger. Please report any trail issues AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Please do NOT make a path AROUND the tree. PLEASE ALWAYS STAY ON THE TRAIL. Land owners get very upset when alternate/undesignated trails are formed on their land, and when this happens, we risk losing the right to use their land which can further limit our trail options for current and future trails. Please be extra attentive to this.
  11. How do we find a copy of the trail maps?
    • Please take a look at our Maps page.
  12. There is a problem with the website, or I need my business information updated. Who do I contact?
